Waste incineration
Restrictions on landfill of municipal waste, give rise to more incineration of household and industrial waste products.
Burning these kinds of materials tends to lead to the production of pollutants, such as oxides of Nitrogen, or NOx. Incineration companies therefore have to install systems that control these pollutants in order to meet strict legislation on emission standards.
A typical system called Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) removes the NOx in the flue gas by 'reducing' it to Nitrogen (N2 ) by reaction with Ammonia (NH3).
We are the largest European producer of reducing agents based on Urea and Ammonia for these kinds of applications. Marketed under the trade name NOxCare, all grades are synthetic products, whose high purity guarantees the absence of metals or other substances that could modify the product during storage or damage the catalysts used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems.
