Industrial wastewater

Large-scale industrial companies which are not connected to the local drainage system often have their own purification plant. This applies particularly to industries operating in the fields of timber converting, foodstuffs, metallurgy, mining and petrochemicals.

We can offer different products adapted to each individual industry for the treatment of both process and wastewater.

Process and wastewater contain organic substances, and the necessary nutrients are often added to attain optimal biological purification. A variable or unfavourable pH and the development of hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) are problems which arise in industrial wastewater or in connection with the purification of process water. We can supply Nutriox^® which prevents the formation of hydrogen sulphide and removes any H₂S that has already been formed.  Carbon Dioxide is an effective product for reducing the pH of alkaline wastewater without the dangerous characteristics of mineral acids.
We supply organic coagulants which are used to remove suspended materials and to condition sludge, and polyacrylamides (flocculants) for the sedimentation, flotation and draining of sludge.
