We have a long, established relationship with the Pulp and Paper Industry, both in the UK and mainland Europe. Particular areas of association include:

Wastewater Treatment

• SciSol bionutrients are used extensively in the biological treatment of pulp and paper wastewaters. Specially formulated to meet the needs of individual plants, these liquid nutrients are safe to store and handle, easy to dose and above all produced to an exacting quality.

• Coagulants and polymers such as the Sepco range of flocculants are used in both primary separation and sludge thickening processes. Available in powder or liquid form they comprise a vital part of our integrated range of products aimed at the wastewater treatment operator. Iron and aluminium based coagulants are also used in both settlement and phosphate removal applications.

• Nutriox is used in a variety of applications for controlling odours in primary settlement systems, lagoons, sludge thickening and holding tanks. It can also be used for COD reduction in overloaded treatment plants.

• Kalic micronised lime products can be used in wastewater treatment systems, both for pH control, as a settlement aid for activated sludge systems and as a sludge stabiliser.

Paper Making

Carbon Dioxide is used for pH correction in DIP plants, and again for pH stabilisation and scale reduction in white water systems. Non hazardous, easy to dose and providing a buffering capacity that mineral acids are unable to match, Carbon Dioxide is rapidly becoming the product of choice for these types of application.

Nutriox is used in stock preparation and holding to prevent the generation of Hydrogen Sulphide. Nutriox provides a more environmentally friendly alternative to biocides, and is both safe to handle and easy to store and dose.

Power Plants

NOxCare ammonia and urea products are used extensively to prevent harmful NOx emissions from boilers, CHP plants and sludge incinerators.
