Dry Ice - Blocks

Dry Ice (DrikoldTM ) is made by compressing and cooling gaseous Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into liquid, and then allowing it to expand to produce CO2 snow.  The snow is then compressed by a hydraulic press into convenient sized Dry Ice blocks, slices and pellets.

Dry Ice is CO2 in solid form and sublimes leaving no residue.  Made with a high degree of cleanliness, it is neither toxic nor flammable.  It is tasteless and odourless and has approximately three times the refrigerating effect of water ice.  Because of these properties, Dry Ice is an extremely valuable refrigerant and freezing agent, used extensively within the food processing, airline catering and transport industries.  The product has a temperature of -78.6oC (-109.5oF), whereas traditional water ice is only 0oC.

Dry Ice Blocks

Blocks are produced by compressing and cooling gaseous Carbon Dioxide into liquid, and then allowing it to expand to produce "snow".  The snow is compressed by a hydraulic press into solid Dry Ice Blocks, marketed at 10kg.
