AdBlue

AdBlue has its own Alphadial Telephone number. By remembering the phrase "Dial 0700 4 AdBlue" and dialling the numbers this relates to on your touch tone phone, you need never remember complicated numbers again.

AdBlue is an operating fluid for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). The name was created by joint agreement with the mineral oil industry, the chemical industry and the automobile industry and their suppliers.

AdBlue is a non-toxic, clear, synthetically manufactured urea solution, manufactured to meet DIN 70 070 and  ISO 22241

Commercial vehicle operators are facing increasingly stringent limits for NOx emissions as new legislation takes effect across Europe.

The present limit is Euro III, which all new commercial vehicles currently need to meet. The challenge is to reach the even more demanding Euro IV and V levels without having an adverse impact on diesel consumption.

To meet these limits the major European heavy duty vehicle manufacturers have adopted Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. This process uses AdBlue as a reagent to reduce NOx in an 'exhaust gas after-treatment system', attached to a vehicle's engine (see diagram below). The nature of the process means that engines can be tuned to give optimal diesel consumption and will, therefore, be self-financing in certain cases.

AdBlue represents the culmination of ten years development in an exciting area of growth for our Company, working with others to establish the product quality standards necessary for this application.
