DeNOx
The health of our planet and the human environment depends on the quality of our atmosphere.
NOx emissions create acid rain, smog or ground level ozone in the industrialised world. The NOx gases can for some people be a health problem related to occupational exposure and this issue has been given increasing focus. Much is, and has been achieved, with the reduction of SOx (oxides of Sulphur) emissions and most national governments have now given their commitment to enforcing legislation to reduce NOx emissions and improve the air quality in the same way.
The oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), are mainly emitted from the burning of fuel, for example from coal and oil fired power plants or from diesel/heavy fuel oil engines for for commercial vehicles, trains and shipping. There are numerous ways to reduce such NOx emissions and our DeNOx applications have for years been used to turn the unwanted NOx into harmless nitrogen and water.
