Carbon Dioxide
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a tasteless, colourless, non-toxic, non-flammable, liquefied gas. It is a very small part of the atmospheric air around us (approx. 0.03%). It helps control our breathing and is used by plants to help them grow. Plants, in turn, release oxygen, which people depend on for survival. CO2 exists in three states - gas (for packing), liquid (for freezing and refrigeration) and in solid form (dry ice for refrigeration). The typical temperature of liquid CO2, in storage, would be -23ºC at 17 bar. Typical areas of application
Distribution and Technical support Our CO2 for the UK market comes from production plants located in Cleveland, Cheshire, Avon and from our own European CO2 plants via our import terminal in South East England. We are able to offer the most robust supply base of all UK CO2 suppliers, backed by a specialist and dedicated road fleet. Our terminal at Teesside enables us to export CO2 to our sister Companies in Europe, or to import at times of short UK supply.
