Urea
Urea (CO(NH2)2) is supplied as granules, prills or micro prills, and contains 46% Nitrogen.
- Prevention of NOx emissions
- Nitrogen source in biological purification processes
- Manufacture of binding agents and polymers (urea formaldehyde resins)
- Nitrogen source in animal fodder
- Paper coatings
- Component in moisture creams
- Removal of ice (runway de-icing)
- Separation of fatty acids
- Production of melamine
- Chemical synthesis (pharma intermediates)
- In particle board production
We produce specialist grades of Urea for prevention of NOx emissions:
- NOxCare is a solution of either Ammonia or Urea to be used as a reactant in the DeNOx process. The most common use is in power plants fired with fossil fuel, utility boilers, incinerators and ship engines operated with fuel oils. The DeNOx reaction can take place either with a catalyst (SCR technology) or without a catalyst (SNCR technology).
- AdBlue is a similar product based solely on Urea solution, applied in the transport sector for use in commercial vehicles and public transport.
A Material Safety Data Sheet or Product Specification sheet will be posted upon request.
